He stated that the celebration of Bahraini Engineer’s Day reflects the pivotal role played by the Bahraini engineer in the urban, economic and developmental development of the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising the efficiency of Bahraini engineers, male and female, and their tangible contributions to the implementation of major national projects.
He continued that this occasion embodies the importance of engineering work in developing cities and society, pointing out that the Kingdom of Bahrain has witnessed, over the past decades, notable engineering achievements that included infrastructure projects, roads, housing, water, sustainable urban development, and smart agricultural projects.
The Minister explained that this year’s slogan, which was entitled “With our Bahraini identity, we build the cities of the future,” truly embodies the national trend based on combining the authenticity of Bahraini identity with the requirements of modern development, pointing out that the Ministry is keen to reflect all its municipal and agricultural projects the authentic national identity, through the expansion of green spaces, the implementation of the afforestation plan, and the development of public gardens and parks, in addition to strengthening supportive municipal legislation. For sustainable and comprehensive development.
He also stressed that the Ministry pays great attention to qualifying national engineering cadres through specialized training and development programs, based on its conviction that investing in the human element is the basis for achieving sustainable development, noting that the Bahraini engineer has proven his competence and merit in various specializations and has contributed with his knowledge and experience to the success of major national projects.
