Meta has directed its Metaverse team to integrate AI into almost every aspect of their work to boost their productivity by 5x.
Meta directs her team to use artificial intelligence to accelerate productivity
According to what was published by The Sun website, an executive at Meta, who is responsible for developing Metaverse products, told employees that they must use artificial intelligence to work 5 times faster.
Vishal Shah, head of Metaverse, said AI must become a core part of their daily work, and that Meta hopes to have 80% of the team using AI tools by the end of the year.
The idea is for programmers to use AI to work five times more efficiently than they currently do, not just to increase efficiency by 5%. This represents a major shift for Meta, which was previously focused entirely on virtual reality. Now, Shah is encouraging engineers, designers, and project managers to use AI to speed up the prototyping process and get faster feedback. Which makes the workflow much more efficient.
Metaverse products, which CEO Mark Zuckerberg changed the company name to highlight, were a colossal waste of time and money, as the company spent tens of billions of dollars developing a product that only a relatively small number of people use.
Meta’s move is consistent with broader trends; Experts expect that artificial intelligence will contribute to raising global productivity by up to 3% by 2055, while about half of business leaders believe that enhancing productivity is the main reason for using artificial intelligence technologies.
