The Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Luxor Governorate announced its preparations to open the one-day market No. 32 tomorrow in Bandar Luxor – East Al-Sikka in front of the Taiba parking lot, within the framework of implementing the initiative of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade aimed at providing basic goods to citizens at reduced prices and reducing the burden of living on families.

The market is held in Bandar Luxor, east of the railway station, in front of the Taiba parking lot

The opening of the market comes based on the directives of Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and the assignments of Engineer Abdel Muttalib Emara, Governor of Luxor, and with direct coordination from Dr. Assistant Minister for Petroleum Materials, and under the supervision of Engineer Abdel Razek Al-Safi, Undersecretary of the Supply Directorate in Luxor, and the follow-up of Engineer Gabriel Bakri, Director General of Internal Trade.

More than 30 companies, merchants and 10 mobile sales outlets participated

Engineer Abdel Razek Al-Safi explained that the one-day market includes more than 30 companies and merchants participating in providing food and consumer goods at prices that range between 20% and 30% lower than their counterparts in the markets, in cooperation with the Egyptian Company for Wholesale Trade and the Luxor Chamber of Commerce.

10 mobile sales outlets will also be established to expand the scope of use and reach the largest number of citizens.

Al-Safi confirmed that the Luxor Supply Directorate is continuing to implement the initiative in various cities and villages, with the expansion of mobile vehicles to reach remote areas, which contributes to enhancing availability and achieving balance in the markets.

The initiative aims to support citizens with food commodities at reduced prices and guaranteed quality

He pointed out that all offered goods are subject to strict catering control to ensure quality and prices, as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to support citizens and provide their daily needs at reasonable prices.

It is noteworthy that the one-day market in Luxor is one of the most successful catering initiatives in the governorate, as it succeeded during 31 previous sessions in meeting the needs of thousands of citizens and stabilizing prices in local markets.
