The village of Zarqa in Damietta Governorate witnessed a tragic incident in which a 6-year-old boy was assaulted by one of his neighbors, which sparked a state of anger and resentment among the people.
Initial investigations by the Zarqa Center investigators revealed that the accused, “Mahmoud M.K.,” 18 years old, lured the little Louay, 6 years old, to one of the side streets in the village, taking advantage of the place being empty of passers-by, and assaulted him and then threatened him not to inform anyone.
According to what was stated in the police report, the child’s mother noticed traces of blood on his clothes, so she asked him about the reason, so he could tell her what happened. She immediately took him to the hospital, filed an official report, and report No. 1790 of 2025 was issued to the Damietta Center Administrative Office regarding the incident.
Investigations by the detectives confirmed the authenticity of the report, indicating that the accused lured the victim and assaulted him, as stated in the child’s statements. Efforts are being intensified to arrest the fleeing accused in implementation of the instructions of the Public Prosecution, which continues to investigate the incident to determine all its circumstances.
Ramzi Muhammad Shaheen, the father of the victim, said in exclusive statements to Cairo 24: My son was subjected to a heinous crime at the hands of a young man next door, and the trust between us and the people was broken, and I want my son’s right to the law, and may God take revenge on whoever did this to him.
The Damietta Security Directorate is currently intensifying its efforts to arrest the fugitive accused, in coordination with the relevant security services, in implementation of the directives of Major General Damietta Security Director to quickly arrest him and bring him to justice, while the Public Prosecution is following up on investigations to reveal all the details of the incident and take the necessary legal measures.
