Sold out Labor directorates In the governorates of South Sinai, Giza, Damietta, Qena, Luxor, Menoufia, New Valley, Fayoum, and Aswan, intensive inspection campaigns were carried out on facilities and gas stations, in implementation of the directives of Minister Mohamed Gibran, Minister of Labor.
The campaigns aimed to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health requirements stipulated in Labor Law No. (14) of 2025, review work permits for foreigners, implement the minimum wage, and ensure the existence of employment contracts for workers, in order to achieve a safe and stable work environment.
These moves come within the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen the decent work system and protect workers and establishments by intensifying field inspection work and applying occupational safety standards in various sectors.
An awareness seminar at Savola Company and participation in the October celebrations in Suez
The Suez Governorate Labor Directorate organized an awareness seminar at Savola Food Industries Company in the Adabiya Industrial Zone about the developments contained in the new Labor Law No. (14) of 2025.
The symposium aimed to raise awareness of the provisions of the law and clarify ways to implement it in a way that enhances a stable and investment-attractive business environment. The symposium witnessed the presence of a number of company leaders and follow-up via video communication technology from various work sites, in addition to handing over employment contracts to new workers from the governorate.
Within the framework of the governorate’s October and National Day celebrations, the directorate participated in the national symposium at Suez University entitled “Memory of a Homeland and the Responsibility of a Nation,” in the presence of a number of executive and academic leaders.
69 new job opportunities for Damietta’s youth
The Damietta Labor Directorate launched an initiative to provide new job opportunities in the new city of Damietta, where 69 job opportunities were provided, including 14 opportunities at Bristol School and 55 opportunities at Al-Qawas Supermarket.
Fathi Al-Talawi, Director of the Directorate, confirmed that these efforts come in implementation of the directives of Minister Muhammad Gibran to intensify employment opportunities for young people and connect them to the labor market in accordance with their qualifications, in support of the state’s plans to reduce unemployment and improve the standard of living.
Training youth in electricity and detailing in Qalyubia
The Qalyubia Labor Directorate continues to implement training programs within the vocational training plan in mobile units and fixed training centers, to qualify young people for the professions required in the labor market.
The programs included training on modern electrical electricity, maintenance and installation of surveillance cameras with the participation of 18 trainees, in addition to a course in detailing and sewing for 13 trainees in the village of Minyat Shibin al-Qanater.
Fawzi Saber, Director of the Directorate, explained that these programs are implemented within the two presidential initiatives “A Decent Life” and “Your Profession is Your Future”*, to qualify young people and enable them to have decent job opportunities or establish small projects.
Awareness meetings in the Red Sea to promote a culture of decent work
The Red Sea Labor Directorate organized a number of meetings and seminars to spread a culture of safe work.
The Marsa Alam Labor Office held an educational symposium at the Brutels Hotel, attended by 54 employees and management representatives, which discussed developments in the new labor law. The Directorate also held an expanded meeting with human resources managers in tourist establishments to discuss regulatory provisions for labor relations.
Ayman Shaaban, Director of the Directorate, confirmed that the meetings aim to support the stability of the work environment and promote sustainable professional development.
Training programs in solar energy and cooling in New Valley
The New Valley Labor Directorate continued implementing training programs in a number of training centers, as part of the Ministry’s plan to qualify young men and women for craft professions.
Osama Ibrahim, Director of the Directorate, pointed out the continuation of training in sanitary plumbing, refrigeration and air conditioning, and solar energy, stressing that the programs aim to raise the technical capabilities of youth and support local development in the governorate.
Integrating and empowering people of determination in Ismailia
The Ismailia Labor Directorate continued its efforts to integrate and empower children of people of determination by welcoming a number of them into the directorate’s headquarters and providing job opportunities commensurate with their abilities.
Asmaa Zaki, Undersecretary of the Directorate, confirmed that Ismailia pays special attention to this category, in implementation of the directives of Minister Mohamed Gibran, noting that the goal is to achieve full integration into the labor market and provide them with a decent and productive life.
Port Said celebrates World Occupational Safety Day
The Port Said Labor Directorate participated in the activities of World Safety Day 2025 organized by the Suez Canal Container Company under the slogan “We Start With Safety.”
The events witnessed a review of the company’s achievements in the field of safety and its winning of the Global Safety Award from the AP Moller-Maersk Group, in addition to its contribution to the East Port Said Port winning third place globally in the Container Ports Performance Index for the year 2024.
Abdul Wanis Abdullah, Director of the Directorate, confirmed that participation aims to support distinguished companies in applying safety standards and disseminating successful experiences to ensure the safety of workers and the sustainability of production.
Awareness seminars in South Sinai about the new labor law
The South Sinai Labor Directorate organized two awareness seminars in the cities of Ras Sidr and Sharm El Sheikh to introduce the provisions of the new Labor Law No. (14) of 2025 and Minister’s Resolution No. (187) of 2025.
Akram Muhammad Sayed Ahmed, Director of the Directorate, explained that the seminars discussed the items regulating labor relations, stressing that similar events will continue to be held to support workers in the tourism sector and achieve a stable work environment.
Follow up on the implementation of training courses in Sohag
The Sohag Labor Directorate carried out an inspection tour to follow up on the implementation of six training courses at the Sohag and Al-Kawthar vocational training centers, as part of the vocational training plan to qualify young people for the professions required in the labor market.
Elham Abu Zeid, Director of the Directorate, said that the courses include refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance, computer and mobile phone maintenance, sewing and detailing, and surveying and maps, stressing that the programs come in support of the state’s direction towards building qualified professional cadres that keep pace with the requirements of the local and international labor market.
