Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of the US President, and Steve Witkoff, the US envoy to the region, revealed, during an interview with the US channel CBS, unprecedented details behind the scenes of the Sharm El-Sheikh negotiations.

Witkoff said that when he entered the negotiating room with Khalil Al-Hayya, he offered him his condolences over the death of his son in the bombing of Doha, stressing: I am also a father who lost his son and understands his feelings.
For his part, Kouchner pointed out that Al-Hayya’s mention of his son’s death in Doha completely changed the situation, saying: When we spoke to Al-Hayya about his son, the situation turned from negotiations with the movement to a conversation and a state of solidarity between us and him.
The US President’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, arrived in Tel Aviv this morning.
