Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, confirmed that the readiness of sports facilities and facilities is one of the most important components of success for the third Asian Youth Games, which will be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain from 22 to 31 October, under the generous patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him.
This came during the visit of His Highness, Monday, October 13, 2025, to the Bahrain National Stadium, in the presence of Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority, Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Dr. Abdul Rahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority, Fares Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of the Olympic Committee, and Yousef Daij, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the tournament, as part of his keenness to inspect the preparations and readiness of the facilities to host the Asian event. The Bahrain National Stadium will host athletics competitions.
Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa reviewed the readiness of the athletics track, the VIP platform, the stands, the media platform, the players’ dressing rooms, and all other facilities and services.
Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the stages reached in the readiness of the Bahrain National Stadium to host the third Asian Youth Games, stressing the importance of completing all remaining work to prepare the stadium in all aspects to form an ideal environment for fraternal competition among all representatives of Asian countries, especially since athletics is one of the most important sports that receives great attention in the Asian and Olympic Games. His Highness wished all participants good luck and success.
