
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, affirmed that the dedicated work and high organizational experience provided by Bahraini youth volunteers and national cadres in the third Asian Youth Games, which Bahrain is hosting until October 31, is a source of pride and pride, and reflects the Kingdom’s readiness to embrace the largest and most important continental and global sporting events.
This came during His Highness’s visit yesterday to each of the camel sport competitions, in which His Highness was crowned champion at the Bahrain International Endurance Village, in addition to watching the electronic gaming, weightlifting, boxing and table tennis competitions at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre. His Highness also visited the players’ area, which includes many heritage, cultural and entertainment events.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa added, “We are committed to providing an integrated sports experience for the participating Asian delegations, highlighting the cultural face of Bahrain and confirming its leading position on the sports scene. We are pleased with the organizational and technical success witnessed by the tournament with a good public turnout, and we wish all delegations a pleasant stay in the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
His Highness expressed his appreciation to all sports federations, participating athletes, and members of the technical and organizational committees for their efforts to ensure the success of the tournament, stressing that this hosting will be an important station for discovering young champions who will create the future of Asian and international sports.
