Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa stressed the depth of the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the qualitative and advanced development these relations are witnessing in various fields, in light of the care and attention they receive from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great king of the country, and his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the king of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, may God protect and preserve them.
He pointed to the support and follow-up given by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and his brother His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, may God protect them, to aspects of the strategic partnership existing between the two brotherly countries through the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council, through which common visions and aspirations are translated into work programs and executive projects in various sectors. Especially projects of connectivity, transportation, transportation and logistics services.
This came during a meeting in his office at Gudaibiya Palace this morning in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Communications, and His Excellency Dr. Rumaih bin Muhammad Al-Rumaih, Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Chairman of the General Transport Authority in charge of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are moving towards broader horizons of bilateral cooperation, which has transcended the limits of coordination and moved to the stage of effective integration in vital sectors in a way that strengthens economic and social ties between the two countries and their brotherly peoples, explaining that the continuous meetings between the two sides embody the keenness to support the process of construction and development, and to strengthen the partnership in a way that serves common goals and interests.
He pointed out that the linking projects between the two brotherly countries in the land and sea transport sectors, whether existing or future, constitute a strategic artery that supports the two countries’ position as international centers for trade and logistics services, and contributes to facilitating the movement of passengers and goods, and creating modern transit ports that keep pace with economic and commercial growth, in a way that enhances the achievement of the goals of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and the Saudi Vision. 2030, which come together in a common ambition towards diversifying the economy and enhancing the efficiency of infrastructure.
For his part, Dr. Rumaih bin Muhammad Al-Rumaih, Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Chairman of the General Transport Authority in charge of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressed his thanks to His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister for the warm meeting, stressing that the strong relations between the two brotherly countries constitute a solid basis for moving towards greater integration in projects of common interest, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
