Portugal’s under-16 squad witnessed a major surprise, after Junior was called up Cristiano Ronaldothe son of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, to represent his country in the friendly Federation Cup tournament, which will be held in the Turkish city of Antalya during the period from October 30 to November 4.

This is the first time that Junior Cristiano Ronaldo has officially joined the ranks of the Portuguese national team, which is an important step in his emerging football career, amid great media and fan following.
The Portuguese national team will play three matches during the tournament, starting against Turkey on October 30, then Wales on November 1, and concluding its participation against England on November 4. This tournament is an opportunity to gain early international experience and test the players’ abilities against strong teams in the same age group.
It is noteworthy that Junior Cristiano Ronaldo played in the academies of Juventus and Manchester United, and is currently at the Saudi Al-Nasr Academy, where he continues his artistic development under the supervision of his father.
