French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez revealed new details about the theft that affected the Louvre Museum on Saturday morning, describing it as a very important theft carried out by perpetrators with extensive experience, noting that the jewelry stolen from the Louvre Museum is priceless, according to French reports.
Nunez explained that the thieves used a crane mounted on a truck to reach the Apollo Hall inside the museum, where they smashed a window and stole jewelry of priceless heritage value, before fleeing the place on a motorcycle.
The process only took 7 minutes
The minister added that the operation only took 7 minutes, which indicates that its perpetrators had conducted a prior reconnaissance and enjoyed high professionalism. He pointed out that the Paris Public Prosecutor had contacted the Anti-Banditry Brigade, stressing that all central police brigades would be mobilized to participate in the investigation.
Nunez said: The detection rate of this type of theft is very high, as the perpetrators are identified in more than half of the cases, expressing his great hope that the perpetrators will be quickly identified and the stolen items recovered.
The minister concluded his statement by confirming that there is an ongoing judicial investigation, noting that the Public Prosecution in Paris is the authority authorized to announce any new developments in the case.
