Mrs. Mishael Al Qatami, Acting Secretary-General and Director of the Department of Student and Educational Institutions Affairs at the Issa Bin Salman Educational Charitable Endowment, and a number of representatives of the Endowment, visited the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) – Medical University of Bahrain, as part of joint efforts between the two sides, the outcomes of which are aimed at qualifying national cadres to support the health care sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the visit, Mrs. Mashael Al-Qatami stressed the Endowment’s keenness to consolidate cooperation with leading academic institutions in a way that contributes to supporting the paths of empowerment of the Endowment’s members who wish to pursue medical specialties, noting that the continuation of cooperation with the Medical University of Bahrain reflects the two institutions’ joint commitment to strengthening initiatives that contribute to empowering students to achieve their professional ambitions, developing the capabilities of Bahraini youth, and supporting the process of progress in the sector. For his part, Professor Alfred Nicholson, Vice President of the Medical University of Bahrain for Academic Affairs and Head of the College of Medicine, stressed that the ongoing partnership with the Isa bin Salman Charitable Educational Endowment embodies the university’s commitment to providing quality opportunities for Bahraini students that enable them to achieve their ambitions in the field of medicine, explaining that this fruitful cooperation contributes to the preparation of qualified health personnel capable of contributing to the development of the health care system and strengthening Sustainability in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The visit program included holding an interactive session with a number of Bahrain Medical University students who benefited from the support of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Endowment, during which a constructive dialogue took place between the students and representatives of the endowment, discussing their academic experiences and future ambitions. This is within the framework of the endowment’s keenness to enhance direct communication with students and support their educational journey in a way that enriches their university experiences and contributes to developing their scientific and practical capabilities.
