It seems that Israel is on its way to breaking the agreement between it and Hamas, which is expected from it at any moment, and the excuse is present and ready, which is Hamas’ delay in handing over the bodies of the remaining Israeli detainees who died during the Israeli bombing of Gaza.
We have previously touched on this aspect, and although Israel received 20 living prisoners and 10 bodies out of 28, this was not accepted by Israel, and it insists on receiving the rest of the bodies as quickly as possible, citing that this is what was stipulated in the terms of the agreement to end the war in Gaza, which was sponsored by America. It is as if Israel is intending, through these demands, to put pressure on Hamas to speed up the delivery of the bodies, and accuses it of being slow. The delay in this regard is explained by the latter’s lack of commitment to the agreement, and thus returning to war has become a “legitimate” act for Israel.
Israel does not want to believe that extracting the bodies of its citizens from among the destruction and rubble takes a long time, and requires special equipment and devices to remove all those piles of rubble. Hamas has demanded that this equipment be brought into Gaza, but Israel rejects these demands, and at the same time it demands that the bodies be expedited, which is very surprising, since Israel was not the one that allowed the introduction of equipment to remove the rubble, and thus Accelerating the exhumation of the bodies of Israelis, does not give Hamas more time to exhume those bodies, and even accuses it of not adhering to the terms of the agreement to end the war!
I believe that Israel’s strange behavior regarding the bodies of its citizens confirms that it does not originally want to receive those bodies, for reasons that may cause them to decompose or become greatly disfigured, which makes the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu under great blame from the families of the dead detainees, and the parties opposed to Netanyahu, who was refusing to listen to the demands of the families and parties to stop bombing Gaza due to the danger it poses to the lives of the detainees. The Israelis, and this is what actually happened, as their bodies were scattered among the rubble due to this bombing.
This is the result that Israel does not want to reach, and therefore it may not want to receive the bodies, but it reflects the blame and places it on “Hamas”, and uses the excuse that the latter does not abide by the agreement, so that this is an excuse for Israel to restart the wheel of war, and for it to break the agreement, and we have previously warned against turning to Israel, which will not find it difficult to find any excuse for breaking the agreement, and returning to the military option, especially since the American president himself told the network “CNN”, that a return to this option is possible. Will these Israeli skirmishes be the beginning of Israel’s breaking of the agreement and its return to war?
