Today, Saturday, October 11, the Youth and Sports Directorate in Qalyubia Governorate concluded the activities of the Youth Power League, which was held at the Sports Development Center in Shubra El Kheima, with the participation of 300 young men and women from various youth entities and federations at the governorate level.
The closing activities were attended by Major General Abdel Rahman Shalash, Head of the Central Administration for Youth Cities, Brigadier General Wissam Sabry, Assistant Minister for Youth Entities, Dr. Mohamed Hassan, Assistant Minister for Youth Entities, Dr. Walid Al-Faramawy, Director General of Youth and Sports in Qalyubia, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Momen, Undersecretary of the Directorate for Sports, and Mahmoud Shaaban, Assistant Director General and General Coordinator of Youth Entities in the Governorate.
The competitions witnessed an enthusiastic atmosphere characterized by a spirit of challenge and fair competition among the participating teams, as the results resulted in the Workers’ Youth Union winning first place in the five-a-side football league, while the Delta Youth Sanad entity came in second place.
In the table tennis league (men), the Workers’ Youth Union won first place, the Delta Youth Sanad Kayan came in second place, while the girls of the Delta Youth Sanad Kayan won first place in girls’ table tennis.
The Delta Youth Sanad entity and the Yadir Youth Union also won first places in the cultural league, while the Young Egyptians entity was honored as the best distinguished participation, in addition to honoring a number of distinguished individual elements in various events.
The league is being held under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Qalyubia, and under the guidance of Dr. Walid Al-Faramawi, Director General of Youth and Sports in the governorate, and under the supervision of Mahmoud Shaaban, Assistant Director-General and General Coordinator of Youth Entities in Qalyubia.
The Youth Forces League aims to enhance the spirit of positive competition among youth entities, and to highlight talent in the sports and cultural fields, thus contributing to supporting the youth movement and developing the capabilities of Qalyubia’s youth.
