Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Fayoum, witnessed the Martyr and Veteran’s Day celebration, organized by the Association of Veterans and War Victims, to honor the families of the martyrs who were heroes of the armed forces and the police, and those injured in war operations, in the large meeting hall in the governorate’s general office.

This came in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Al-Tuni, Deputy Governor, Major General Ahmed Hassan Abu Sharq, Director of the Association of Veterans and War Victims, Professor Kamel Ali Ghattas, Secretary-General of the Governorate, Brigadier General Sherif Amer, Military Advisor to the Governorate, and His Eminence Sheikh Salama Abdel Razek, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments in Fayoum.
The ceremony began with the national anthem of the Arab Republic of Egypt, then reciting verses from the Holy Quran, then showing a documentary film entitled “The Martyr’s Dream” produced by the Department of Morale Affairs of the Armed Forces, followed by a speech by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments, during which he spoke about the status of the martyr and his great favor with God, explaining that Egypt is a country on whose land we do not live, but rather a country that lives in us, and we in Egypt have been and are still educating the whole world, and our soldiers. The best soldiers on earth, and we will remain united until the Day of Resurrection in defense of our homelands, for the soil of the homeland deserves to be sacrificed with our blood, and it is sufficient honor for someone who died defending his homeland and honoring it that the Holy Qur’an forbade us from saying that he is dead, rather it said regarding the martyrs, “Rather, they are alive with their Lord and provided for.” It is also sufficient for the martyr to be proud that he sees his seat in Paradise at the time of his soul’s departure, just as his parents are crowned with a crown of reverence. He will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection, and his intercession has been accepted for 70 of his family.
During his speech, the Governor of Fayoum expressed his pride and pride in the families of the martyrs and those injured in military operations, saying: “Today we celebrate the Day of the Martyr and the Veteran, and it is a day dear to all of us, in which we honor the families of our heroic martyrs who gave their lives in sacrifice for the homeland, and the wounded in operations who wrote with their blood the most wonderful meanings of heroism and sacrifice.”
The governor stressed that celebrating Martyr’s Day embodies the highest meanings of loyalty and appreciation to those who sacrificed for the advancement of Egypt, noting that the glorious victories of October will remain a shining mark in the nation’s history, and that Egypt has regained its entire land thanks to the sacrifices of its people.
Al-Ansari also pointed out that Egypt’s hosting of the Global Peace Summit in Sharm El-Sheikh reflects the strength and stature of the Egyptian state under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who called on the whole world to the land of peace to consolidate the values of dialogue and stability.
The Governor of Fayoum added that the Egyptian army will remain the shield and sword that protects the nation, and that what the governorate and the Veterans Association provide does not fulfill the martyrs’ rights and does not reward their sacrifices, directing greetings and appreciation to every martyr and fighter for the sake of God and the nation, praying to God to protect Egypt from all harm and evil under the wise leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.
For his part, the Director of the Veterans Association conveyed to all attendees the greetings of Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Minister of Defense and Military Production, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, stressing that the October victory will remain an eternal epic in the conscience of the Egyptian nation, and that the cohesion of the people with their armed forces is the fortified shield to protect the homeland.
He stressed that the Veterans Association spares no effort in caring for the families of martyrs and those injured in war operations, and providing them with the necessary support, stressing that the services provided by the Association are incomparable to the sacrifices made by our heroes, thanking Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Fayoum, for his continued cooperation and continued support for the children and families of the martyrs.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Governor of Fayoum and the Director of the Veterans Association honored the families of the martyrs and those injured in war operations, and provided aid in honor of their precious sacrifices for the sake of the nation’s elevation and stability.
