The nephew of the late journalist Anas Al-Sharif said in a video on his personal account: Yesterday he was with us in the tent, and he was telling us to prepare, guys, to receive his brother Naji Al-Jaafrawi, who has been in the Israeli prison for two years, and his mother is being treated outside Gaza. Naji Al-Jaafrawi, his older brother, will appear as part of the exchange deal tomorrow and will attend his brother’s funeral.
He added: He was happy when the war ended. He hugged me and said: May God have mercy on your uncle. I hope Anas Al-Sharif was there. I expected that there would be no hero in Gaza who worked and worked hard without being martyred. The occupation always targets heroes, and 60 days ago we bid farewell to Anas, and today we bid farewell to Saleh.
His last words reflected the extent of the loss in Gaza, where journalists leave one by one, carrying their cameras and their honesty, leaving behind an indelible mark on people’s memories.
