Hazem Imam, coach of the club’s first football team, came forward Zamalek, The Belgian assistant, Yannick Ferreira, has announced his resignation from his position in the current period.
Hazem Emam resigns from his position at Zamalek Club
Zamalek confirmed in an official statement through its accounts that Hazem Emam had submitted his resignation to Captain Abdel Nasser Mohamed, the club’s director of football.
Sports Director John Edward discussed the matter with Belgian Yannick Ferreira, the team’s technical director, and the resignation was accepted.
The Zamalek Club Football Department thanked Hazem Emam for the period he spent with the team and his role with the technical staff during the last stage.
Captain Hussein Labib, president of Zamalek Club, is scheduled to hold a session with John Edward, the sporting director, during which the identity of the new coach in the assistant staff of the Belgian Yannick Ferreira will be decided, after discussing all matters with the technical director.
A source from within the Zamalek club revealed to Cairo 24 earlier that Hazem Emam is angry because he was ignored within the apparatus and his role was reduced, in addition to his ongoing crises with coach Yannick Ferreira.
The source added that club officials and Hazem Imam kept the matter secret in the recent period, and talk was about his absence due to a cold, and the fear that he would join the camp and the infection would spread to the rest of the team.
The source continued his statements by confirming that Hazem Emam has problems with the technical staff and officials have been trying to solve them throughout the past period, and in the event of failure, there will be a replacement for him before the league resumes.
