Hamas received its response to the American proposal and agreed to the release of all detainees

Hamas issued a statement on its position on US President Donald Trump’s proposal to stop the war in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of prisoners. The statement stated that the movement held in -depth consultations in its leadership institutions, and contacted the various Palestinian factions, international mediators, and friends, to determine the position of a responsible position on the American proposal.

Appreciation for international and Arab efforts

Hamas explained in its statement that it appreciates the Arab, Islamic and international efforts, and the efforts of US President Trump, aimed at stopping the war in Gaza, immediately exchanged prisoners, and refused to occupy the Strip and displace its population.

The movement’s position regarding the exchange of prisoners and the Gaza administration

Hamas confirmed that it is agreeing to the release of all detainees, neighborhoods and bodies, according to the proposed exchange formula from Trump, while providing appropriate field conditions for the exchange process. The statement added that the movement is immediately ready to enter into negotiations across the brokers to discuss the details of the implementation of the proposal.

Hamas also stated that it is agreeing to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to an independent Palestinian body (technocrat), based on the Palestinian national consensus and Arab and Islamic support, in order to achieve the cessation of the war and the complete withdrawal from the Strip.

Future issues within a Palestinian national framework

The statement pointed out that any future issues related to the rights of the Palestinian people and the Gaza Strip, including the issues raised in the Trump proposal, will be discussed within a comprehensive Palestinian national framework, in which everyone participates and the movement is committed to the relevant international laws and decisions.
