Cairo 24 website obtained the first pictures of the elderly man who was assaulted by the owner of a children’s clothing store in Suez Governorate, after social media users circulated a video clip showing a young man slapping and assaulting an elderly man, which sparked a widespread wave of anger.
The elderly person’s family reported that he is a man known for his good morals and religious commitment, and he memorizes the entire Holy Qur’an, stressing that he did not commit any offense that would justify assaulting him.
In this context, a security source told Cairo 24 that the security services in Suez were able to identify the accused, and it turned out that he is the owner of a children’s clothing store.
The source explained that Major General Hossam El-Din Ahmed Al-Dah, Director of Suez Security, directed the formation of a search team led by Major General Ashraf Nabil, Director of Investigations, to arrest the accused after determining his identity and taking the necessary legal measures against him.
