Manchester City achieved a deserved victory over its guest Everton, with two unanswered goals, in the match that brought them together this evening at Etihad Stadium, in the eighth round of the English Premier League for the 2025-2026 season.
Norwegian Erling Haaland succeeded in leading his team to victory, after scoring a double in the match in the 58th and 63rd minutes, continuing his usual brilliance in the Sky attacking line and leading City to the top of the standings temporarily with 16 points.

The match began with an attacking rhythm from the hosts, as Pep Guardiola’s men controlled the course of the game from the first minutes, amid a defensive decline from Everton and reliance on counterattacks.
Haaland opened the scoring after a wonderful pass from Nico O’Reilly, which the Norwegian star translated into a powerful shot past goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
In the second half, Manchester City continued its constant pressure, so Haaland was able to score his second goal after a pass from Savinho, confirming his team’s superiority and technical advantage throughout the match.
