- The gold pound recorded approximately 43.720 pounds, while the global ounce reached the level of 4018 $.
Gold price movement in local markets
According to a report issued by the iSagha platform, gold prices in the local markets rose by about 1,660 pounds since the beginning of last January, or 44.4%, as the 21-carat gram began the year at 3,740 pounds, while an ounce rose globally by $1,393, an increase of 53% during the same period, which reflects the strength of the upward trend in the local and global markets.
The report indicated that the exchange rate of the dollar in the local market also witnessed a noticeable increase during today’s transactions, exceeding 48 pounds, an increase estimated at about 51 piasters, which contributed to increasing pressure on gold prices locally.
