The price of a gram of 21 karat gold locally recorded about 4,330 pounds, and an ounce globally at 3,962 dollars, after rising in recent days to the highest historical level at 4,060 dollars.
Local gold prices are still directly affected by the movement of the ounce and the price of the dollar, as 24 karat reached about 6,068 pounds, and 18 karat reached 4,551 pounds, while the price of the gold pound came at 42,480 pounds.
Earlier, engineer Saeed Embabi, a goldsmith expert and executive director of the iSagha platform, for publishing the price of gold online, confirmed during his statements to Cairo 24 that any decline in gold prices during the coming period will be linked to the cessation of the war in Gaza, but he stressed that the continued trends of banks towards lowering interest rates is in the interest of gold, and enhances its future gains.

The gold expert added that the yellow metal currently represents the safest and most valuable haven, especially for those who have a financial surplus and want to save in the medium or long term, advising investment in bullion and gold pounds as the safest tools in light of the current economic conditions.
Regarding short-term investment, Embabi advised following up on gold prices in Egypt, and exploiting periods of temporary decline or price correction as appropriate opportunities to buy.
