This Wednesday morning, trucks loaded with humanitarian aid and fuel set off from the Rafah crossing from the Egyptian side towards the Gaza Strip, according to Cairo News.

Aid entering the Gaza Strip

Cairo News, quoting its correspondent’s uncle, revealed that trucks loaded with fuel and gas are heading from the Rafah crossing towards the Kerem Shalom and Al-Awja crossings, which are concerned with the entry of aid into the besieged Strip, to be subject to a mechanism of scrutiny and review by the Israeli occupation authorities, which may allow or prevent the entry of trucks.

The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation reported on Wednesday that Israel decided to move forward with opening the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt, and allow the transfer of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, after returning the remains of four Israeli detainees.

She added that Israel canceled measures it intended to take against the Palestinian Hamas movement, including reducing the number of aid trucks entering the Strip by half.
