French television station BFM reported that police arrested a third suspect in connection with the robbery of the Louvre Museum in Paris, which occurred on October 19.
The channel reported that the arrest took place in the Paris region late on Wednesday evening, noting that the suspect was present at the crime scene during the robbery.
Four masked thieves stormed the Apollo Gallery inside the Louvre Museum, which houses the French crown jewels, and stole precious jewelry during morning working hours, in an incident that revealed security gaps in the world’s most visited museum.

The Paris Public Prosecutor explained that two men were arrested last weekend on suspicion of sneaking into the museum through a window on the upper floor and stealing valuable pieces, and they partially confessed to their involvement in the crime.
Prosecutor Laure Bequio said in a press conference that the two men face preliminary charges of theft by an organized gang and criminal conspiracy, noting that investigations suggest that they are the two people who stormed the most visited museum in the world in broad daylight.
