Fayoum Health Organizes a comprehensive meeting to discuss strategies for enhancing performance in health services

Dr. Nevin Shaaban, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Fayoum, held an expanded meeting with a number of directors of technical and health departments, where plans were discussed to improve performance and raise the efficiency of health services. This initiative comes within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to provide the best health care to citizens, and the meeting aims to enhance cooperation between different departments to ensure the provision of high-quality medical services.

At the meeting, the Undersecretary discussed a number of vital items that contribute to improving the quality of health services. The most prominent of these items is the necessity of quickly completing the accreditation of the second stage units and following up on the first stage units, in addition to training medical teams on accreditation policies and obtaining the necessary licenses. Training is one of the pillars of achieving effective and distinguished performance.

Emphasis was also placed on retraining medical teams, including doctors, on family medicine specializations and the work of completing new family file forms. Focusing on standards for correct registration in records will lead to improving the health care process and achieving a higher quality in the services provided, in addition to applying occupational safety and health standards.

During the meeting, the importance of raising the efficiency of health units and emphasizing administrative discipline was also highlighted, as new targets were set for obesity and psychological support clinics and activating health education programmes. This will enhance health awareness among citizens and raise the level of care provided.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the accreditation officials were honored in appreciation of their efforts, as an honorary shield was handed over from the Director of Basic Care to the Undersecretary, for her outstanding contribution to supporting the accreditation of the units. The Undersecretary stressed the importance of continuous follow-up to achieve tangible positive results to ensure the provision of the best medical services to the people of Fayoum.
