The Kingdom of Bahrain is participating for the first time in electronic gaming competitions within the Asian Youth Games, in a step that reflects the great development witnessed by this modern sport at the local and Asian levels.
Bahrain is represented in this first participation by Hussain Ali Al-Jowder, Mohammed Al-Yaqoubi, Nasser Aqeel Ismail, Mr. Ali Adel Alawi, and Yousef Fawaz Ghaleb, as the team participates in three approved games: E-Football, Street Fighter, and Rocket League.
This historic participation comes after electronic gaming was officially included in the Asian Games nearly four years ago, when the China 2022 Games witnessed its first official appearance as a sports competition recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia. Since then, electronic games have become part of the modern sports system that combines entertainment, technology, and professionalism.
The Bahraini national team continues its intense preparations to compete, with aspirations to provide distinguished levels in this first appearance, and to represent the Kingdom in an honorable manner that keeps pace with the ambitions of Bahraini youth and highlights their capabilities in this growing field.
