Dr. Ahmed Al-Majdalani, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, said that the agreement reached at dawn today with Egyptian mediation represents a major achievement for the Palestinian leadership, praising the historical role played by Cairo and President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi in supporting the Palestinian people and stopping the aggression against the Gaza Strip.
Member of the “Palestinian Liberation Organization”: Egypt worked to consolidate Palestinian rights and thwart displacement plans
He added during television statements that Egypt not only exerted its efforts during this crisis, but also continued to work over many years to establish Palestinian rights and thwart plans that aimed to displace Palestinians outside the Gaza Strip.
He continued, that Egypt waged public struggles and took decisive stances against the Netanyahu government, especially after October 7, 2023, in defense of the Palestinian people and rejection of the policies of aggression and displacement.
He stressed that Cairo clearly responded to attempts to impose a policy of mass deportation from the Gaza Strip to Egyptian territory, noting that this firm position is what prevented the implementation of the Israeli plan aimed at liquidating the Palestinian issue.
