In a quick and professional response, Dubai Police traffic patrols rescued the driver of a vehicle whose cruise control had malfunctioned while she was traveling on Emirates Road towards Abu Dhabi. The specialized teams intervened within minutes of receiving the report, which contributed to sparing the driver and road users the risk of a serious traffic accident. Brigadier Jumaa Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Traffic Department at Dubai Police, explained that the operations room received a report stating that a vehicle driver was unable to control her speed, as a result of the cruise control malfunctioning and she continued driving without responding to the brake pedal. He stated that traffic patrols immediately moved to the location of the report, where the vehicle was located and escorted in an accurate manner
