A state of sadness prevailed on social media following the announcement of the martyrdom of Palestinian journalist Saleh Al-Jaafrawi. This was the result of violent clashes between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation forces in recent hours.
The official page of the martyr Saleh Al-Jaafrawi revealed the details of his will, which he wrote some time before his martyrdom, and it stated: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, who said: “And do not think that those who were killed in the cause of God are dead, but rather alive with their Lord, being provided for.” I am righteous. I leave this will of mine, not as a farewell, but as a continuation of the path I chose for Certainty.
Al-Wasahiyya continued: God knows that I have exerted all my effort and strength to be a support and a voice for my people. I have lived through pain and oppression in all its details, and I have tasted pain and the loss of loved ones repeatedly, and despite that, I have never hesitated to convey the truth as it is, the truth that will remain an excuse against all who failed and remained silent, and also an honor for all who won, supported, and stood with the most honorable men, the dearest people, and the most generous people of Gaza.
He continued: If I am martyred, know that I have not been absent. I am now in Paradise, with my companions who preceded me, with Anas, Ismail, and all the loved ones who were true to what they pledged to God. I advise you to remember me in your prayers, and to continue the journey after me. Remember me with continuous alms, and remember me whenever you hear the call to prayer or see the light breaking through the night in Gaza.
He added: I advise you to resist, by the path that we walked on, and by the path that we believed in, for we did not know any other path for ourselves, and we did not find the meaning of life except in persevering in it. I recommend to you my father… the lover of my heart and my role model, the one in whom I saw myself and who sees himself in me… you who accompanied me during the time of war with everything in it… I ask God that we meet in Paradise and you are satisfied with me, O crown of my head. I recommend to you my brother, my teacher, and my companion Naji, oh Naji.. I preceded you to God before you came out of prison, so know that this is a destiny that God wrote, and that longing for you resides in me. I wished to see you, to hold you, to meet, but God’s promise is true, and our meeting in heaven is closer than you think. I recommend to you my mother, my mother, life without you is nothing. You were the prayer that never ceases, and the wish that never dies. I prayed to God to heal you. May you recover. How I dreamed of seeing you travel for treatment and return smiling. I advise you to my brothers and sisters. God’s satisfaction, then your satisfaction, is my goal. I ask God to make you happy, and to make your life as good as your kind hearts, which I have always tried to be a source of happiness for.
He continued: I always said: Do not drop the word, and do not drop the image. The word is trust, and the image is a message. Carry it to the world as we carried it. Do not think that my martyrdom is an end, rather it is the beginning of a long road towards freedom. I am a messenger of a message that I wanted to reach the world, to the world whose eyes are closed, and to those who are silent about the truth, and if you hear my news, do not cry for me. I have longed for this moment. I asked God to grant it to me, so praise be to God who chose me for what I love, and to everyone who harmed me in my life by insulting or slandering me with lies and slander, I say to you, here I am departing to God as a martyr, God willing, and with God the adversaries meet.
The will concluded: I recommend to you Palestine, the Al-Aqsa Mosque. My wish was to reach its courtyard, to pray in it, to touch its soil. If I do not reach it in this world, then I ask God to gather us all with Him in the gardens of eternity. Oh God, accept me among the martyrs, and forgive me for my past and future sins, and make my blood a light that illuminates the path of freedom for my people and my family. Forgive me if I fell short, and pray for mercy and forgiveness for me, for I have fulfilled my covenant, and I have not changed or changed. May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you, your brother, the martyr, God willing, Saleh Amer Fouad Al-Jaafrawi.
