
Dr. Diana Abdulkarim Al-Jahrami, Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council, received a delegation of employees of the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, as part of their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, aimed at reviewing the efforts of higher education institutions to develop their performance, obtain academic recognition, and establish partnerships.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Jahromi stressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to expand the horizons of cooperation and partnership with the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in the field of higher education, appreciating the role of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council in supporting the coordination of efforts and unifying visions, to achieve the desired integration in this vital sector, and its support for joint projects in the fields of innovation, scientific research and academic development.
Representatives of the Higher Education Council, the Education and Training Quality Authority, and higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain also reviewed the most prominent achievements in the higher education system, and the efforts made to obtain local and international accreditations, and global classifications.
The delegation visited a number of higher education institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, including the University of Bahrain, the Medical University of Bahrain, and the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Financial Studies, where they were briefed on the most prominent educational facilities and success stories, and ways to open new horizons for joint Gulf academic cooperation were discussed.
