It turns out that Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, announced an official holiday on Saturday, the first of November 2025. This day is considered a paid leave for all workers in ministries and government departments. This leave also includes public bodies and local administration units, in addition to public sector companies and the public business sector, as he stressed that this leave will be fully paid.
On the other hand, Minister of Labor Mohamed Gibran explained that the opening day will also be an official holiday for workers in the private sector on the occasion of this grand celebration, as this comes in line with the text of Labor Law No. 14 of 2025, which means that everyone will have the opportunity to celebrate the grand opening.
The opening event, which will be held over three consecutive days, is scheduled to be decorated with the presence of a number of heads of state and distinguished international delegations. The museum will open its doors to the public starting on Tuesday, the fourth of November 2025. This opening is a prominent event that will enhance Egypt’s tourist status.
The price of entry tickets to the Grand Egyptian Museum varies, as the price of an entry ticket for Egyptian adults is set at about 200 pounds, while tickets for Arabs and foreigners (students/children) are calculated at about 600 pounds. Egyptian students and elderly people can enter at a price of 100 pounds, while resident Arabs and foreigners will pay about 300 pounds. Entry prices for Arabs and foreigners for adults reach 1,200 pounds, and for residents their ticket price is 600 pounds.
