Dr. Al -Mahrous pointed out that a wide Dutch study showed a strong relationship between type 2 diabetes and advanced breast cancer, explaining that women with diabetes are 28% more vulnerable to infection with aggressive tumors compared to non -injured, explaining that the study included 6267 women who were diagnosed with breast cancer between 2002 and 2014, including 1567 women who were diabetes of type II.

Dr. Al -Mahrous added that a Chinese study is the largest so far to examine the relationship of diabetes with cancer, as it included 410,191 patients with type 2 diabetes without any cancer disease history, and they were followed from July 2013 to December 2017, and during this period, 8,485 new cancer cases were recorded.
He added that the results showed that the risk of cancer increased by 34% in men and 62% in women with diabetes compared to the general population.
He pointed out that men have emerged a significant increase in prostate cancer that reached 86%, and diabetes has been associated with an increase in the risk of several other cancers: leukemia, skin cancer, thyroid cancer, lymphoma, kidney cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, colon and rectal cancer, and stomach cancer.
