Dr. Adel Abdul Rahman Al-Maawda, Vice Chairman of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee of the Shura Council, and a member of the Foreign, Political and National Security Affairs Committee in the Arab Parliament, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is continuing its consistent approach aimed at strengthening Arab national security and consolidating the foundations of cooperation and integration between Arab and Islamic countries, based on a balanced policy based on peace, dialogue and coexistence among peoples, and a firm belief that stability is the basic approach. To achieve regional and global development and prosperity.
This came during participation in the meeting of the Foreign, Political and National Security Committee of the Arab Parliament, which was held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo, where the committee discussed a number of items on the agenda, most notably the political and security developments in the Arab region, coordinating positions towards regional issues, and adopting the committee’s work plan for the new session 2025-2026 AD.
Dr. Al-Maawdah explained that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s positions are based on a firm conviction that maintaining Arab national security requires unifying positions, strengthening political and parliamentary coordination, and adopting peaceful solutions to regional disputes, pointing out that Arab security in its comprehensive sense includes protecting the capabilities of peoples, achieving development, and confronting the political, security and economic challenges that the region is going through.
He noted that the legislative authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain attaches special importance to strengthening Arab and Islamic parliamentary cooperation in a way that serves the goals of Arab national security, contributes to spreading the culture of dialogue and understanding among peoples, and unifies positions towards the crucial issues of the Arab and Islamic nation, foremost among which is the Palestinian issue.
He pointed out the Kingdom of Bahrain’s firm stance towards the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and its keenness to direct urgent humanitarian relief to the Palestinian people in light of the difficult circumstances they are going through, stressing that achieving just and lasting peace in the region represents one of the pillars of Arab national security and the foundation of its stability.
He reiterated that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under its wise leadership, continues to adhere to its approach based on strengthening Arab national security and consolidating the values of peace and international cooperation in a way that serves the interests of the Arab and Islamic peoples and enhances the stability of the region and the world, praising the efforts of the Arab Parliament.
