The Minister of Transportation and Communications, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance, Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, said that Bahrain represents a leading global model of human brotherhood and mutual respect between religions, cultures and races, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the country’s great king, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
This came during a visit to a number of families in Manama, to participate in their Diwali celebrations, in the presence of a member of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Al-Sadiq Khalafallah, and a number of the center’s employees, where Dr. expressed. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed expressed his best congratulations on this religious and societal occasion, praising their contributions to supporting the national development process, and their active participation in the fields of volunteer work, community service, commercial and business activities, in a way that reflects the values of tolerance, solidarity and mutual respect that characterize Bahraini society.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance expressed his pride in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s distinction as a home for coexistence and respect for religious and cultural diversity in a cohesive social fabric, noting the availability of places of worship for various religions, sects and beliefs in an environment where security, love and acceptance of others prevail, including the presence of the oldest Hindu temple in the heart of Manama for more than two centuries, which represents a living witness to The depth of these authentic values and their rootedness in the conscience of Bahraini society.
He pointed out that the Center will continue to fulfill its mission of translating the enlightened royal vision into educational and cultural programs and concrete initiatives that enhance the principles of dialogue, understanding and mutual respect, and contribute to spreading the culture of peace and human coexistence at various local, regional and international levels.
For their part, the families expressed their thanks to the Minister, Chairman of the Center’s Board of Trustees, for his generous visit, which embodies the spirit of friendliness and genuine human communication among the components of Bahraini society, appreciating the Center’s keenness to share with them their religious and community events, and its interest in devoting the values of the “Kingdom of Bahrain Declaration” to religious freedom, and consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a shining center for peace and rapprochement between religions and cultures.
