After the agreement to end the war in Gaza under American auspices, I believe there are priorities at the present time that should be implemented with the utmost speed, the most prominent of which is the introduction of relief and medical aid to the people of Gaza, who are suffering from severe humanitarian and medical deterioration, and also the necessity of both parties, especially Israel, committing to the agreement to end the war in all its stages and not violating it.
Perhaps these priorities may be presented at the international summit hosted by Egypt in the presence of US President Donald Trump and a number of world leaders, to shed more light on the arrangements related to the agreement to end the war in Gaza. I also believe that this summit is a great opportunity to resolve some of the matters that Trump described as minor, and which are still stuck in the aforementioned agreement.
But I think that what is related to the humanitarian situation in Gaza, and the necessity of getting aid in as quickly as possible is what is most important now, as it is a top priority and an urgent necessity, especially with the severity of the people of Gaza’s suffering from famine and poor humanitarian and medical conditions. The communications officer at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) revealed that there are food shipments waiting for their immediate and urgent entry into Gaza, which is enough for its people for three months, while An official with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Gaza confirmed to CNN that the Fund has hundreds of trucks waiting to enter the Strip, loaded with medical supplies and hospital equipment.
In other words, all the services that the people of Gaza are waiting for are available, and they are expected to enter them as soon as possible, and perhaps the arrival of 200 American soldiers in Palestine to monitor the implementation of the Gaza Plan will facilitate this process, especially since one of the most important things that must be monitored and expedited is the immediate entry of food, medical and relief aid in general to the people of Gaza, whether under the supervision of these American forces, United Nations peacekeeping forces, or others. “Who” matters as much as “when” relief will be provided to the people of Gaza.
It is true that we rejoiced as the people of Gaza rejoiced after the agreement to end the war, and the end of suffering, stories and tragedies that lasted for two years, and can only be tolerated by those who are patient and hope for reward from God, and the people of Gaza also counted, but care must also be taken to implement this agreement, one of its clauses of which was related to pumping humanitarian aid and restoring basic services to Gaza, while emphasizing the importance of complete agreement on all the details related to the implementation of the agreement in its various stages, The concerned parties bear responsibility for implementation, to achieve the desired peace and stability for Palestine and the region.
