Representative Khaled Bu Anq revealed that he had submitted a question to the Minister of Labor about the number of citizens currently benefiting from unemployment benefits.
The text of the question stated: What is the total number of citizens currently benefiting from unemployment benefits? How many beneficiaries are the subsidies paid to them continuously for periods of one to five years, five to ten years, and ten to fifteen years for each period separately? How many job opportunities were provided to beneficiaries whose benefit from the subsidy exceeded five to ten years? What are the most prominent reasons why they reject these opportunities? Does the Ministry have plans or mechanisms to reduce the number of those eligible for unemployment benefits? Does this mechanism or plans provide a tangible benefit to the Fund? Has the Ministry worked to implement the directives of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister regarding providing three jobs for every job seeker before the end of the year? What will happen to the job seeker’s file if the jobs offered to him do not match his qualifications and specialization? Will his file be closed and removed from the list of the unemployed? Or will he be offered other jobs?
