Long-lived Naila Al-Sawadi died today, Friday, in the Iraqi city of Kirkuk, at the age of 124, according to a medical source.
A source in a medical center in Kirkuk said, “The deceased’s body underwent a medical examination, and it was found that she died as a result of medical complications,” according to Iraqi media.
Her relatives indicated that Naila enjoyed good health until the last years of her life, and was a well-known figure in her area, and respected by the people.
Naila Al-Sawadi was born in 1901, making her one of the oldest people born in the city to have lived for more than a century.
