Dakahlia Governorate is witnessing a heated electoral race as the nomination period for the 2025-2030 House of Representatives elections approaches, as the number of applicants has risen so far to 265 candidates, before the deadline set by the National Elections Authority expires tomorrow, Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
Before nominations close tomorrow… 265 candidates are competing for seats in Dakahlia in the parliamentary elections
The committee supervising the receipt of nomination applications within the Mansoura Courts Complex continues its work to receive candidates daily from nine in the morning until five in the evening, amid intensive organizational and security measures to ensure that the process runs smoothly.
The committee began receiving applications since October 8 at the headquarters of the Mansoura Court of First Instance, which was fully equipped to receive candidates through secured gates and designated corridors to reach the main hall to submit the required papers and documents.
Dakahlia Governorate is one of the governorates of the second phase of the House of Representatives elections, which includes 13 governorates, where voting for Egyptians abroad is scheduled to take place on November 21 and 22, while voters inside Egypt will vote on November 24 and 25.
According to the division of districts and the recent amendments to the House of Representatives law, Dakahlia’s share is 38 seats, including 17 seats for the list and 21 individual seats, distributed among 10 electoral districts that include 24 centers and departments, as follows:
- 1st and 2nd Mansoura (2 seats)
- Mansoura and Dimna centers (2 seats)
- Belqas – Al-Stamuni – Gamasa Section (2 seats)
- Talkha – Nabaruh (2 seats)
- Dikernis – Beni Obaid – Sherbin (3 seats)
- Minyat Al-Nasr – Meet Salsil – Al-Gamaleya – Kurdish section (2 seats)
- Manzala – Matareya – Manzala section (2 seats)
- Mit Ghamr – Mit Ghamr section (2 seats)
- Al-Sinbillawain – Tamy Al-Amdid (2 seats)
- Aja (2 seats)
