The security services in the Qalyubia Security Directorate, under the supervision of Major General Ashraf Gaballah, Assistant Minister of the Interior, revealed the circumstances of a quarrel that occurred between a group of people. A video documenting the incident was circulated on social media sites, showing the tense events between the parties, which raised many questions about the causes of that quarrel and its repercussions.
Information received by Major General Mohamed Al-Sayed, Director of the General Department of Qalyubia Investigations, and Major General Wael Metwally, Head of Qalyubia Investigations, indicated that a quarrel had occurred in the Banha First Division, where Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Ashraf, head of the department’s investigations, coordinated with his assistants, monitored the situation. It became clear that the conflict broke out due to disputes related to neighborhood and children’s play, which led to matters quickly escalating.
According to preliminary investigations, the quarrel took place on May 2 between two parties. The first party consisted of three people and a female citizen who sustained various injuries, while the second party included six individuals. They used sharp weapons in the attack, which contributed to endangering passers-by, which required the intervention of the security forces.
The security services were able to arrest the parties to the quarrel in record time, as the weapons used during that confrontation were found. Following investigations, the defendants admitted to committing the incident, following a minor family dispute, and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution to complete the necessary legal procedures.
