The Kingdom of Bahrain has achieved a new achievement in terms of supporting entrepreneurship environments and startup companies, after the 2025 StartupBlink Global Index for Startup Environments ranked it third in the Arab world and 62nd globally, with a growth rate of +40.1% compared to the previous year, which reflects the success of national efforts in empowering entrepreneurs and promoting innovation in various economic sectors.

The United Arab Emirates came in first place in the Arab world and 21st globally with a growth rate of +32%, followed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in second place in the Arab world and 38th in the world with a remarkable jump in the ranking by +236.8%, while Egypt ranked fourth in the Arab world and 5th in the world with a growth of +22%.

As for the next ranks, Jordan ranked 69 globally, despite a decline of -12.2%, followed by Qatar 76 globally, +13.6%, Lebanon 77 globally, without change, then Morocco 88 globally, +23.1%, and Kuwait 89 globally, +7.1%.

In its assessment of startup environments, the StartupBlink Index relies on three main axes: quantity, which is concerned with the number and activity of startup companies, quality, which refers to successes and global influence, and the business environment related to laws, financing, and infrastructure.

These results are a reflection of the efforts made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in empowering emerging companies and supporting entrepreneurs, through developing economic legislation and providing an innovative digital environment that keeps pace with the aspirations of the new economy based on innovation and knowledge.
