The Kingdom of Bahrain continues to receive sports delegations participating in the Asian Youth Games, as Bahrain International Airport is witnessing active traffic with the influx of Asian delegations in preparation for the launch of the major continental event the day after tomorrow (Sunday).
Today (Friday) witnessed the arrival of delegations from a number of participating countries, including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Thailand, Iran, the Emirates, the Philippines and Pakistan, where they were received by representatives of the Reception Committee, the Public Relations Committee and the Transportation Committee, who facilitated entry procedures and provided transportation services to the residences according to an organized work plan that was developed in advance to ensure the comfort of the delegations.
An atmosphere of welcome and enthusiasm prevailed at the airport with the arrival of the athletes, who expressed their happiness at participating in this major Asian event, which Bahrain is hosting for the first time, stressing their aspiration to provide distinguished levels in the competitions.
It is expected that the arrival movement will continue tomorrow (Saturday) with the arrival of new batches of delegations participating in the various games, in preparation for the start of the official competitions on Sunday, at a time when the organizing committees have completed all preparations to ensure an ideal start for the tournament, which constitutes an important station in the journey of Asian youth sports.
