Bahrain International Airport received 101,534 flights during the year 2024, according to data from the Bahrain Open Data Portal, which showed details of aircraft movement and the number of passengers during the year 2024, which reflects the continuation of regular operational activity at the airport throughout the year.
According to the data, the total aircraft movement (arrivals and departures) in January amounted to about 8,479 flights, while overflights recorded 40,096, with a total of 837,627 passengers.
In February, aircraft movement reached 8,030 flights, with 36,951 overflights, and the number of passengers reached 778,019 passengers.
In March, the airport recorded 7,800 arrivals and departures, and 38,238 flights, with a total of 695,140 passengers, while April witnessed a slight increase, bringing traffic to 7,950 flights and 39,025 flights, with 751,085 passengers.
In May, aircraft movement reached 8,404 flights and 40,204 flights, with a total of 731,434 passengers. The numbers continued to rise in June, recording 8,869 flights and 39,819 flights, with the number of passengers increasing to 847,666 passengers.
July witnessed air traffic continuing to reach 9,011 flights and 41,391 flights, with 873,703 passengers, while August recorded the highest rate during the year with 9,180 flights and 39,054 flights, with a total of 884,074 passengers, which was the month that witnessed the peak in the number of passengers.
In September, aircraft movement reached 8,478 flights and 37,954 flights, with a total of 720,546 passengers, while October recorded 8,465 flights and 40,732 flights, with 728,961 passengers.
In November, traffic increased to 8,330 flights and 43,870 flights, with the number of passengers reaching 729,555 passengers, while December concluded the year with traffic amounting to 8,538 flights and 45,201 flights, with a total of 772,770 passengers.
These data highlight the regularity of air traffic at Bahrain International Airport, which constitutes a major hub linking Bahrain to a wide network of regional and global destinations throughout the year.
