His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Babco Enege, chaired the meeting of the Board of Directors for the third quarter of the year 2025, which was devoted to following up progress in strategic initiatives and reviewing the developments of the Babco reformal refinery project (BMP).
The Board of Directors reviews the developments related to the implementation of the main joint initiatives at the group level, and the achievements achieved during the third quarter of the year, with a focus on achieving an integrated value through subsidiary companies and enhancing strategic trends and long -term strategic goals.
During the meeting, the latest developments were discussed in the Babco refinery updating project (BMP), as it is the most important project in the march of the ongoing transformation in the energy sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the tangible progress achieved in the planned schedule, to remain the most prominent pivotal project to advance the sector.
The Board of Directors reviewed the final documents for the establishment of BXT Trading, the joint venture between Babco Enemz and Total Enemz. The Council also reviewed the progress made in the three -dimensional seismic survey project, and dug horizontal wells in the field of Bahrain Bay, as well as the deep gas exploration program implemented by Babco Exploration and Production Company in the wild areas in cooperation with EOG.
In turn, Mr. Mark Thomas, CEO of Babco Enege, stressed that the progress made during the third quarter reflects the group’s commitment to implementing its strategy and achieving tangible results across various subsidiaries, in order to enhance the competitiveness of the group and develop energy infrastructure in the Kingdom.
