The General Authority for Health Care in Aswan announced that it has raised the level of maximum readiness to participate in full medical insurance for the activities of the global event of the Sun Perpendicular to the Temple of Abu Simbel, which is considered one of the most important tourism and cultural events in the world.
This comes within the framework of the Authority’s pivotal role in providing integrated medical services at the highest level of quality, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, President of the General Authority for Health Care and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project.
Preparedness within health facilities in the governorate
In this context, and in accordance with the directives of Dr. Mohamed Nashaat, President of the Upper Egypt Region, the director of the Aswan branch of the General Authority for Health Care, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hadi, headed a working group to raise the degree of readiness within health facilities in the governorate, and to ensure the readiness of all medical, technical and administrative work teams, in order to ensure and follow up on ensuring full coordination between all sectors of the Authority and health facilities participating in the plan, and to follow up on the application of medical insurance procedures in the field. At the event sites, moment by moment, including the readiness of emergency crews, the availability of medical supplies and medicines, and the speed of communication between field operating rooms, hospitals, and emergency units.
The Aswan branch of the General Authority for Health Care is preparing to secure visitors and participants in this global event, by equipping and deploying a number of mobile medical units equipped with the latest devices and modern technologies, to spread around the temple and the most frequented areas in the city of Abu Simbel, ensuring rapid response to emergency cases and providing immediate health care. The authority’s participation also includes implementing various awareness and entertainment activities aimed at introducing tourists to… With the services of the health care system in Egypt, and promoting the “We Care for You in Egypt” program for medical tourism, which reflects the authority’s vision in enhancing Egypt’s position as a distinguished destination for treatment, hospitalization and health tourism.
Preparations also include raising the degree of readiness in all health facilities affiliated with the Authority in Aswan Governorate, which includes 9 hospitals, 89 units, and a family medicine center, with a total of 98 health facilities, in preparation for dealing with any emergency during the celebration period. The emergency and reception departments have also been supported with trained medical personnel, and the necessary medical supplies and medicines have been secured to ensure an immediate and rapid response to all cases.
