Al -Sisi: I will invite Trump to attend the signing of the agreement on Gaza

On Wednesday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi called on his American counterpart Donald Trump to attend the signing of a possible agreement in Egypt, in the event of reaching it during the current negotiations in Sharm El -Sheikh.

During his speech from the Cairo Police Academy, the Egyptian President pointed to the ongoing Egyptian efforts during the past two years to stop the Gaza war.

He continued, “Now in Sharm El -Sheikh, negotiations are being held to end the war, and our hearts are all with these negotiations. I register with great appreciation and respect for President Trump his true will to end the war during the current round of negotiations.”

Al -Sisi sent a message to President Trump to continue his support to reach an agreement on Gaza, stressing Egypt’s keenness on positive interaction with the Palestinian issue.

And he added: “What I have received about the meetings of Sharm El -Sheikh is encouraging news, and we hope to seize the opportunity, and we are keen that the end of the war be in the current negotiating round.”

President Sisi also stressed that the region is going through difficult and harsh conditions, pointing to the ability of the Egyptian state to overcome any challenge and address any danger. He added: “We were able to overcome terrorism and the situation in Egypt are reassuring.”
