
The Bahraini journalistic and media community has the honor to extend sincere thanks, great appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, for His Majesty’s approval and issuance of Law No. (41) of 2025 amending some provisions of Decree Law No. (47) of 2002 regulating the press, printing and publishing.
The President of the Bahraini Journalists Association, Issa Al-Shaiji, said that His Majesty the King’s kindness in ratifying and issuing the law after its approval by the Shura Council and the House of Representatives confirms the great interest that His Majesty the King attaches to the national press and the keenness to dedicate the principles of freedom of opinion and expression. This marks the launch of a new historical phase in the journey of the ancient Bahraini press.
Al-Shaiji expressed the pride and pride of the Bahraini journalistic family in the high royal congratulations to all members of the press and media on this occasion, and said that we are facing an important stage in the history of the Bahraini press during which the journalistic and media family in Bahrain will be at the level of responsibility in exerting effort and giving to advance journalistic work in the service of the nation and the citizen, and to deal positively with the tremendous developments witnessed by the media and journalism in the world today.
Al-Shaiji added that thanks to what His Majesty the Great King established among the laws and legislation that guarantee freedom of expression and opinion, the press has been able to perform its role professionally, professionally, easily and in a safe and reassuring atmosphere, referring in this regard to His Majesty’s permanent directives to all authorities in dealing and cooperating with the press as it is an authority with full powers.
Al-Shaiji praised the great royal appreciation for the people of the country working in the fields of journalism and electronic media and their noble mission in spreading awareness and knowledge and His Majesty’s concern for the rights of journalists and media workers and achieving their aspirations. He praised in this regard the distinguished positions and lofty directives of His Majesty the King, and the care and care our national press has received from His Majesty throughout its journey, as one of the important and basic democratic faces in our dear Kingdom, which has enabled the press. Bahrain, under the prosperous reign of His Majesty, achieved many gains and achievements, most notably the adoption of an enlightened and advanced press law.
The head of the Bahraini Journalists’ Association, Issa Al-Shaiji, said that the Bahraini journalistic family expresses its gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the great efforts made by the esteemed government in completing the press and electronic media law, and for the positive cooperation it showed with the national press and the Bahraini Journalists’ Association in approving the new amendments. It is also honored to extend sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness for the interest he has shown and constant follow-up to the press, stressing that His Highness’s support has enabled Journalism enables us to overcome many challenges and keep up with the latest developments in this vital and important field.
The President of the Bahraini Journalists Association said that, at this historical stage in the journey of Bahraini journalism, we pledge to His Majesty to move forward in advancing Bahraini journalism by promoting sound professional principles and devoting objectivity and credibility, in a way that contributes to maintaining Bahrain’s leading position.
