A number of branches of Al -Montazah market were empty of food products, as the shelves seemed almost empty, according to a field visit by “Al -Watan”, in a scene that reflects the challenges that the group is going through during the recent period, despite its date extending for more than 42 years in the Bahraini market.
In spite of this, a source in the Montazah market confirmed that all branches in Bahrain continue to work normally, denying what was circulated on social media regarding the closure of the branches completely, explaining that the current shortage in some commodities is due to a temporary defect in supply chains.
The source pointed out that the group administration is making extensive efforts to find urgent solutions to these challenges, indicating that a meeting will be held during the current week with a number of banks and concerned authorities to discuss ways to provide possible support, in preparation for evaluating the company’s future in light of the results of this meeting.
The source emphasized that Al -Montazah markets are keen to preserve its ancient commercial entity, and the confidence of its customers, which it built through contracts from the ongoing service.
