Al-Ahly players held the final training session in the hall hosting the match, in an enthusiastic atmosphere and under the leadership of the technical staff led by the Spanish Daniel Gordia, as the coach was keen to implement the tactical aspects of the upcoming match.
The Al-Ahly men qualified for the semi-finals after their great victory over the Beninese team Flowers, 43-22, in the quarter-finals, so the team continued its strong performances in the tournament.
For his part, Omar Khaled Castillo, Al-Ahly player, confirmed that the team aspires to continue African dominance and win the title again, saying: We aspire to maintain the title for the third year in a row. I believe that no team has achieved what we have achieved in recent years in terms of dominating most African championships, the most recent of which is the Super Cup and the Cup Winners’ Cup.
Castillo added that he has great confidence in his fellow players, stressing that the team includes a distinguished generation that is accustomed to winning and making history for the club.
The Al-Ahly player also sent a message of thanks to the fans of the Red Castle for their continued support, expressing his happiness at being in the Kingdom of Morocco, and praising the distinguished organization of the tournament, stressing that he hopes to win a new title on Moroccan soil.
