During the past hours, social media pioneers circulated a video clip of the Lebanese Al-Jadeed channel correspondent making a mistake in presenting the journalist Madi Al-Khamis during a live interview on air.
She introduced him as the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, then the latter corrected her, saying: I am the Secretary-General of the Arab Media Forum. You predicted to me that I would be the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States. God willing, it will be fine.
The clip sparked a wave of sarcastic comments and joking across social media platforms, with some likening the situation to what happened recently between another reporter from the same channel and media personality Hala Sarhan, when the reporter did not recognize her during a direct interview, which put her in a similar embarrassing situation.

Al-Jadeed channel correspondent previously commented on the incident with the journalist Hala Sarhan, as she said in exclusive statements to Cairo 24: I did not know who the journalist Hala Sarhan was, and this is certainly a shortcoming on my part, as she is one of the most prominent and important names in the field of Arab media. Although her response was somewhat harsh, she apologized after learning that we were on a live broadcast.
For her part, journalist Hala Sarhan explained in her statements to the same website that she understood the situation, noting that the reporter was at the beginning of her media career and said: The girl was nervous and it was clear that she still had no experience, and this situation made her learn that she must be prepared and ask before the interview. I didn’t want to embarrass her, and I told her that you were an adulterer, and that is a good quality in the press, so I flattered her and continued the conversation.
It is noteworthy that Al-Jadeed Channel deleted the video that brought together correspondent Hala Sarhan from its official pages, which surprised the followers, as comments poured into the channel’s Instagram account, asking: Why did you delete the video?

On the other hand, media personality Hala Sarhan is participating as a guest of honor in the film “The Lady of Lama” starring Yousra, whose events take place in a suspenseful social context, while the producing company is preparing to announce the final date for showing the film during the coming period.
