The technical staff of Zamalek Club, led by Belgian Yannick Ferreira, began preparing alternatives for midfielder Nabil Emad Dunga, after confirming his absence from the upcoming Egyptian Super Cup matches, due to the suspension that was decided against the backdrop of the events witnessed in the tournament last season.

Cairo 24 learned from its sources that Yannick Ferreira held a meeting with his assistants during the past hours, to develop an alternative plan to compensate for the absence of Nabil Dunga, as the Belgian coach settled on preparing Ahmed Rabie to participate as a starter in the midfield during the awaited tournament.
This decision comes in light of the technical staff’s conviction of Ahmed Rabie’s technical and physical abilities, especially after the distinguished performance he presented in recent matches, and his success in scoring a goal against Ghazl El Mahalla in the Premier League, which made him one of the most promising elements within the ranks of the white team.
Ahmed Rabie had suffered a minor injury recently, which kept him out of group training for a short period, but the medical staff confirmed his full readiness to return and participate in the National Bank match scheduled for next Thursday in the league competitions.
Yannick Ferreira hopes to prepare the player optimally in the coming days, so that he will be one of the main pillars of Zamalek’s formation during the Super Cup, especially in light of the numerical shortage that the team suffers from in the defensive midfield position after Dunga’s absence.
